Frequently Asked Questions

Nielsen is a global market research company that sets the standard for measuring consumer audiences and behavior. We've been a trusted leader in media measurement for over 90 years and currently study consumers in more than 100 countries.

The Streaming Panel is your chance to be part of the important research we do at Nielsen. A panel is a select group of people chosen to represent a larger population. Since we can't survey everyone, we use advanced statistics to ensure our panel accurately reflects the broader community's habits.

By joining, you help us understand how people use their TVs and mobile devices (smartphones and tablets). Simply by installing our app on your device(s), you contribute valuable data that helps shape the future of media.

Your everyday digital activities, the content you watch on TV, the apps you use, and the websites you visit on your mobile devices provide key insights into media trends. Whether you use your devices a lot or a little, your participation is a valuable contribution to our research.

As a thank you, you'll be rewarded for your participation! Active members of the Streaming Panel earn daily points that can be redeemed for a variety of gift cards, vouchers and cash via UPI through our website.

We collect information to understand usage trends. Your personal data is always protected and never shared in a way that identifies you.
